Cyberlink pays huge amounts of money for AACS licenses and that must be one of the reasons why the software is quite. I have to rip every Bluray I want to watch on my PC, how unnecessary. Not Blurays with AACS, which are the standard. That is not counting possible blacklisting/whitelisting of the disks for your country which this software cannot handle. VLC plays Blu-Ray discs, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, in order to rip the disks (or play that movie you bought in itunes in MPC:HC or VLC), you need to spend cash on OTHER software which can be $300 for a lifetime lisence (IMO better than paying the cash each year for this software).

No virus protector has locked this program out, it is locked out by Windows 10 and even signing into the Administrator portion of the pc will not repair the fact that Cyberlink is not working. I have used the free software to play the disks back and the only stuff you get is access to the raw files. Yes I know the sizes of the files-they vary widely based on who made the disk. Also, NO free software out on the market will handle the 3d aspect aside from this software. DVD and Blu-ray disc players include forms of DRM, called the Content. Depending on your BD drive it might take hours or it might take a hour for a dual-layer disk. It's a complicated issue, but Wikipedia has a good summary of the arguments. Your basically on the fence here borderline, "Just pirate it." talk. I bought this to play bluray discs on the desktop computer that I built. As one of the most powerful blu-ray player software, it can be used on both Windows.
